Random Acts of Kindness: October Wrap-Up

First, I would like to start by saying that I won't be participating in RAK this month. November really snuck up on me. I'm behind in reviews, have way too many books to read, and am participating in NaNoWriMo. I just received a bunch of great books for my birthday, and I have to start saving money for the holidays.

But back to October's wrap-up. I didn't receive any RAKs for October, but it was still a great month. I got a Kindle from my mom and a giant pile of books from everyone else. I did send out one book. At the beginning of the month, I went to Kristen Painter's signing. Although I bought myself a finished copy of Blood Rights for her to sign, I also brought along my ARC to be signed and passed it along to Michelle G. @ Michelle's Book Blog. I really loved Blood Rights and hope Michelle does too. :)

If you haven't checked out the Random Acts of Kindness program, hosted by the Book Soulmates, then you're really missing out. Basically, book bloggers sign up with their wish lists and other generous book bloggers can send them a something from that wish list. This month was a pretty awesome month. I received four books, and sent out

I sent an ARC of The Greyfriar by Clay & Susan Griffith and Mind Games by Taylor Keating to Michelle at Michelle's Book Blog. I also sent Unearthly by Cynthia Hand, Pretties/Specials/Extras by Scott Westerfeld, and Dead Beautiful by Yvonne Woon to Erika at Readspect Reviews and Such.



I received an ARC of Fateful by Claudia Gray from Anna at Anna's Book Blog, Shadow Kin by M.J. Scott from Michelle at Michelle's Book Blog, and Kitty's Greatest Hits and an ARC of The Shadow Reader by Sandy Williams from Theresa at Fantasy & SciFi Lovin' News & Reviews.

Now onto October. Below, I have posted both information about the Random Acts of Kindness program along with my wishlist for October.


Here are the details for October Sign Ups.

Rules:
•Please sign-up each month that you can participate (and by participate, we mean give as well as receive).
•Show off your participation by grabbing our RAK button (code is in the sidebar).
•Create a wish list (on Amazon, Goodreads, or your blog etc) and post it in the Google Doc located in each R.A.K post for the month.
•If you choose to do a R.A.K for someone, check out their wish list and contact that blogger directly for their information.
•Once you receive a RAK, send us an our new email to [rakbybooksoulmates @ gmail . com] so that we can update the Google Doc. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU SEND EMAILS TO THIS ADDRESS!
•E-book participation is limited to files being gifted directly to a person from the e-book store. Amazon's Kindle Store is set up to allow this, as well as the Kobo store and we believe Barnes & Noble as well.
•At the end of the month, SHOW US YOUR R.A.K by making a "RAK Wrap-Up" post. This post should include who you SENT gifts to as well who you RECEIVED gifts from :)

Madigan to Savs @ Savvy Escapades.


I received a copy of Dark Heart Forever by Lee Monroe from Lesley @ My Keeper Shelf. She was generous enough to ship this novel across the Atlantic for me. Thank you so much! :) I believe this novel has only been published in the UK, which would explain why I have had so much trouble trying to find it.

April RAK

This was my first month taking part in Random Acts of Kindness, and cool program started by Book Soulmates.
