Summary:
From debut author Cassie Alexander comes a spectacular new urban fantasy series where working the nightshift can be a real nightmare.
Nursing school prepared Edie Spence for a lot of things. Burn victims? No problem. Severed limbs? Piece of cake. Vampires? No way in hell. But as the newest nurse on Y4, the secret ward hidden in the bowels of County Hospital, Edie has her hands full with every paranormal patient you can imagine -- from vamps and were-things to zombies and beyond...
Edie’s just trying to learn the ropes so she can get through her latest shift unscathed. But when a vampire servant turns to dust under her watch, all hell breaks loose. Now she’s haunted by the man’s dying words -- Save Anna -- and before she knows it, she’s on a mission to rescue some poor girl from the undead. Which involves crashing a vampire den, falling for a zombie, and fighting for her soul. Grey’s Anatomy was never like this...
This sounds very cool! One to add to the must-buy list, I think.

I've been looking forward to Nightshifted too ;) Great pick.
ReplyDeleteGlad I stopped by here. I haven't heard of Nightshifted before. I wish there was an excerpt up on her site. the book seems interesting though. I like the way her blog reads, also. But I've been fooled by into thinking I'll like a writer based on blog entries before (anton strout) and found out that the books aren't at all as interesting as the blog entries. :(
ReplyDeleteI'm still going to keep my eye open for Nightshifted, though. :)
Hi there -- not that I sit around googling myself all the time (okay, sometimes I do, I'm a new author, I can't help it, aie!) -- but I finally got my act together today to post an excerpt up.
ReplyDeleteIt's at http://cassiealexander.com/nightshifted-excerpt/
Thanks for the nudge! :D
This definitely looks like a fun read. The paranormal hospital idea is definitely one that looks good. Already on my TBR. Enjoy your week.
