In My Mailbox (98)

Thanks to Kristi at The Story Siren for hosting In My Mailbox every week.

I hit Borders for one last time this past week. I got four mass market paperbacks and a hardcover for under $20. We also had a larger number of new releases at work this week, so yay for my employee discount. And this was me keeping my spending in check... It could've been so much worse (there were so many new releases this past week) if I had less self-control.

Edit: Due to my card being declined and getting a reality check from my bank account, I have returned a number of recently purchased titles because I need gas and cat food before my next paycheck. The following titles need to be disregarded for this week's IMM: Where Demons Fear to Tread by Stephanie Chong, Blood Rules by Christine Cody, One Grave at a Time by Jeaniene Frost, Fury by Elizabeth Miles, and Soul Thief by Jana Oliver. And the following titles from previous IMM have also been returned: Bargains and Betrayals by Shannon Delany and Nocturne by Syrie James.

  9. Van Pham, can't wait to see your reviews once you pick up Soul Thief and Where Demons Fear to Tread. I had to return them (along with a couple other titles) today. There's a note at the end of the post to explain.

Jessica, I've been trying to find Dead Girls are Easy for a while but had never checked the library (because it's very small), so I was really excited to see they had it.

Aisle B, thanks! Although I did return a few for need of the funds. :( Hopefully I'll be able to read them in the future.

Vy & Amber, I really enjoyed Sisters Red and was very excited that our library had Sweetly.

Goldilox, Christen will love that you spell your name the same way! She's never met anyone else that spells it that way, and gets really excited if someone spells it right on the first shot.

Book Sake, The Poison Diaries was in the bargain section (and it's an Australian copy, which was strange) and we stumbled upon it by luck. I'll try to get Christen to read it soon. :)

Emma, I look forward to your review of Fury since I had to return it. Hopefully our library will get a copy soon.
