My Bookshelves

I currently have two bookselves in my room. A larger on that I keep my hardcovers and trade paperback in, and a smaller one that I keep my mass market paperbacks in.

Here's the larger one:

And here's the smaller one:

I currently have at least twenty mass market paperback that don't fit, as you can see. And around fifteen hardcovers and trade paperbacks stacked on top that don't fit in the other bookshelf. And there is also a nice sized pile at my girlfriend's apartment.

I have read about one third of my books (a couple multiple times). That means that around two thirds of those books haven't been read yet. I have not sorted these into a TBR pile and an already read pile. They're all in order: alphabetical by author, then alphabetical by series, then in order within series. Except for the piles that don't fit. They're mostly just in order of how I bought them. I really need to go to Ikea or something and buy three or four huge bookshelves so I'll never need any more, but that'll end up being close to a whole paycheck, so I'm holding off for now.

And here's a picture of my little cat, Rupert, checking out all of the books:

  1. Nice shelf!
The picture is too small to see the titles but I think we have a fair share of similar books!

  2. Wow, great books! I'm too cheap to buy so many, but there are tons of great titles there that I want to read. (:

  3. Thanks for the comments! I don't really spend money on much else, so I like to treat myself to a couple new books every paycheck. makes work a little more bearable. :)
